Mother-Infant Lactation Center is a women-owned and operated facility serving families in the Los Angeles community. Roza Bahdassarian is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She is a mother of two and has a passion for helping women with breastfeeding. For over 17 years, she has supported and educated breastfeeding parents in the local community. She was also a lactation instructor for new and expecting parents, as well as nurses, physicians, and hospital staff.
Services
The Mother-Infant Lactation Center is the go-to place for all your breastfeeding needs and support. Nursing bra fittings, lactation consultations, and breastfeeding equipment rental will assist you with your journey into breastfeeding. Breastfeeding can be a challenging, stressful, and rewarding period in your newborn’s life. You can schedule in-home or in-office consultants to meet your unique needs. Same-day and next-day appointments are available to meet your and your baby’s needs.
All Mother-Infant Lactation Center consultations are individualized and centered around mother and baby. The initial consultation tends to last about 2 hours. Studies have shown that the more support and education a mother receives early on in breastfeeding, the longer she will keep breastfeeding. Pump and scale rentals are available for weekly or monthly needs. All rentals are by appointment only for pick up and drop off at the office. Nursing bra fittings are available by appointment and take about 60 minutes. Staff are trained and certified bra fitters. Nursing bra sizes range from AA to M cups, and band sizes are 28 to 56 for all body types. The bra fitting is complimentary with any bra purchase, and appointments are recommended.

In addition to fittings, consultation, and rentals, the Mother-Infant Lactation Center hosts various events for the community. They also offer evidence-based breastfeeding classes monthly. Women will find support in the breastfeeding support groups that Roza facilitates. She also conducts lectures on various breastfeeding topics throughout the year within the local community.
